The challenge: This newly constructed residential property was partially planted, but the client wanted a more extensive landscape that wove in elements of the existing softscape. The client also sought a more dramatic entryway in keeping with the architectural style of the house.

The Johnson Associates solution: Privacy solutions were the key for this property. We created a patio with privacy screening, and then added a hedge along one side of the

property to serve as a green fence between the client and their neighbors, who were only 15 feet away.

We also filled existing patio planters with tropical softscape. Along the rear property line, we created a small, naturalistic evergreen forest as a screen. And to reflect the elegance of the home, carefully selected plant material announced the entrance.

These Outdoor Rooms gave the homeowners the elegant effect they sought.
